Northwinds Quintet
McIntyre Hall Presents
Sunday, April 2 2:00pm
Comprised of musicians from Skagit Symphony, the Northwinds Quintet is the last concert of the four concert Chamber Music Series. The program of varied works for woodwind quintet features music from the classical Chamber repertoire. Special guests Michael Wheatley and Barb Hunter will perform a selection for violin and cello. The members of Northwinds Quintet are as diverse as the instruments that they play. You will find an avid birder and mycologist, an accountant who claims to be retired, a former lawyer turned tennis club owner, and two music teachers who find their joy in singing and playing music with youngsters. In addition, Beverly Dooley, flute; Ken Bronstein, oboe; Barry Ulman, clarinet; Jackson Stewart-DeBelly, bassoon; and Doug Robertson, horn are also well-trained musicians who perform with various local ensembles including the Skagit Symphony, Bellingham Symphony Orchestra, What the Chelm, Clearbrook Dixie Band, Jimmy Lindquist Big Band, and Millie & the Mentshn.
The intimate Chamber Music concert takes place in the Studio Space at McIntyre Hall. Patrons are encouraged to enjoy their refreshments during the concert. Patrons will have the opportunity
to learn more about the music in an informal conversation with Michael Wheatly, Music Director of Skagit Symphony, and Nida Tautvydas, Executive Director of McIntyre Hall
