As a part of Skagit Valley’s rich choral culture, Cantabile is proud to bring this extraordinary work to our community. Through soaring melodies and lush, cinematic textures, two time Grammy® winner Christopher Tin sets the poetry of Emily Dickinson, Christina Rossetti,Sara Teasdale, and Edna St. Vincent Millay to give voice to bird species lost to extinction. The music journeys from the vibrant, fluttering energy of its opening movements to a profound and quiet stillness— inviting deep reflection on humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
