Skagit Valley College is proud to kick off its 2024 President’s Spotlight Series with a special evening with Luis Valdez, American playwright, screenwriter, film director, and actor. Valdez is best known for his play Zoot Suit, his movie La Bamba, and his creation of El Teatro Campesino, uniting farm workers during the Delano trike by farm workers in 1965, alongside Cesar Chavez.

An optional Meet and Greet Reception will take place prior the Lecture. If you are interested in attending this event, please purchase VIP Tickets only. VIP Tickets give you the opportunity to meet Mr. Valdez at the Reception and VIP seating in the Hall for the Lecture.  The $100 VIP Ticket provides admission to the reception AND lecture.
